This spring more than 40 girls in 4th, 5th and 6th grade joined one of Oakwood’s longest sports traditions by playing field hockey in a league sponsored by the Oakwood Community Center. Over the course of the spring, the girls mastered their field hockey skills and competed in games at Irving Field. The girls were coached by current Oakwood High School field hockey players and Oakwood’s Head Coach Lindsay Schafer.
