8 honored at Fairview ceremony

On Saturday evening, Nov. 29, Oakwood resident and attorney John Rion, along with seven other Fairview High School alumni, were recognized for their outstanding life achievements as Fairview graduates at the Dayton Convention Center. Among the other inductees were Jean Booker, Blair Brown, Howard Brown, Ret. Judge William Clark, Bill Goodwin, Edwin C. Moses, the former Olympic champion and Oakwood Register Arts critic Dr. Burt Saidel. Sharon Howard from WDTN served as Mistress of Ceremonies for the Farewell to Fairview program, attended by over 300 alumni, family and friends. Pictured at left are, left to right, inductees Judge William Clark, Dr. Burt Saidel and John Rion, Esq., holding one of the award trophies recognizing them for their achievements.
